He has been practicing law since 1975 in a wide variety of civil matters with particular emphasis on legislative advocacy and administrative law. In addition to the widespread recognition of his expertise as lobbyist, John has served as a member of the Tennessee Appellate Court Nominating Commission, the Tennessee Judicial Selection Commission and the Tennessee Wildlife Resources Commission. Mr. Lyell has represented a wide variety of clients' interests before the Tennessee Legislature and numerous other governmental entities.
CHRIS LYELL is the Director of Government Relations for the firm as well as a lobbyist in Nashville. Chris is asked to speak every year to the latest group of legislative interns about the role of lobbyists in the legislative process. He is a frequent guest lecturer at the University of Tennessee-Knoxville, and has lectured at Lambuth University in Jackson, Tennessee. He is also a member of the Tennessee Lobbyists Association. Prior to graduating from the University of Tennessee, Knoxville in 2004, Chris held numerous leadership positions on campus, worked on several political campaigns, and served as the Campus Coordinator for a state senate campaign.
